The brief required the refurbishment of a 35 year old detached dwelling with a view to rationalising the existing space with limited extension in order to achieve a modern, open bright living environment. Given the constraints of the site a raised mono pitched roof was designed to explore and gain as much natural light as possible. The materials are simple with clean lines resulting in a contemporary look.
